Today Erik's school celebrated National Book Week by having the students dress as their favorite character from a book. There were lots of princesses, fairies, Harry Potters, witches, Laura Ingalls and pirates running around the school. Erik decided to be Long John Silver from Treasure Island and his friend Mitchell was and adorable Jack and the Bean Stalk, complete with vines from the garden. Since Australians don't really celebrate Halloween it was nice alternative for Erik with the added benefit of not having a ton of candy sitting around for the next month.
