I never wrote about our trip two weeks ago to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary (right across the river from our neighborhood, Sherwood), but here are some pictures. It's a bit touristy but a fun afternoon with opportunities to see some Australian native wildlife up close. The bird is a Rainbow Lorikeet, and although this one is alone in a tree, a flock of the descended upon us at feeding time. Unfortunately, most of those pictures were a blur of colored feathers.
