Bev and Arlyn at the ReefIt's always amazing how quickly time goes by when we have visitors. Although just seemed like Bev and Arlyn (Mark's parents) got here, it's already been almost a month and today they were off to the airport and heading back to the States.
For those that are contemplating visiting but are worried about imposing on us, I think the recipe for a great stay is taking side trips. QANTAS offers multi stop tickets a a good price or often you can route a flight with a stop over in Sydney or Melbourne or even New Zealand for about the same price as a direct flight. Sometimes it can actually be cheaper! With Expedia just check the link to: One way tickets, Multiple Destinations. Also JETSTAR and Virgin Blue have great mid week rates to popular destinations like Cairns, the Whitsundays/Hamilton Island.
In any event, Bev and Arlyn brought back some amazing pictures and some great stories about their trip to the Northern Territories. As I mentioned in the previous posting they started in Brisbane, flew to Cairns stayed in Port Douglas, then went to Darwin rented a camper van and drove to Ayers Rock via Kakadu and Katherine Gorge National Parks.
