Although it is supposedly autumn, it seems to be the time of year the gum trees are in bloom. Every day on our walk to school, we pass several gum trees filled with the most unusual looking flowers. Like much of the Australian flora and fauna, they are strikingly different from what we are accustomed yet still very beautiful. In fact, I couldn't resist clipping a few to bring home.
