Back home from Tasmania

Happy New Year! We are back from our Tasmania trip, our friends the Bakers have gone back to Seattle, and we are getting settled in back at home in Brisbane. Tasmania was an amazing place although it was a bit cooler than we had expected. Think of Seattle in early June, and that's about the weather we had, alternating sun breaks and occassional light drizzle. However, given that it was Christmas, temperatures ranging from 60-70F felt just fine, much better than the 90's we had last time we spent Christmas in Queensland.

Mark got me a new camera for Christmas, and we took over 100 pictures on our trip. I'm still working on setting up a photo album elsewhere. I tried an MSN user groups page but am having troubles with the photo upload. Apparently my computer doesn't want to run Active X properly, so a Yahoo photo sharing page may be my next course of action because I have a lot of pictures and uploading them on the blog one by one is very slow! For now, here are some of the best photos. Since I'm on holiday until the end of January, my goal (one of several New Year's resolutions, more on that later) is to write weekly posts on each region we visited in Tasmania and include the relevant photos and links to provide a more comprehensive overview of the area.
