It started out as a vague promise. "Yeah, we'll go to Disneyland before we leave America.". Well, in the rush to fix up the house and get things packed THAT never happened. Then, there were the numerous times we have driven past the concentration of theme parks on the Gold Coast, with the comment, "Not today, maybe some other day." With our trip to Seattle looming on the horizon, that some other day had finally arrived, so in an attempt to avoid the crowds I had Erik skip school on Monday and we set off for Sea World on the Gold Coast.
We both had a great time and never had to wait more than five minutes for anything, but then again we went on a school day. The park offered a wide variety of attractions: animal viewing, rides, shows, water park and slides, and even beaches. eventhough we were there all day (10:30 to 5:30) we still didn't see everything and only went on two rides twice. For someone who generally doesn't enjoy such places I was pleasantly surprised. Here are a few of the highlights. Check back later for more pictures and commentary.

Wow, cool pics, especially flying dolphins! Did they have any sharks with laser beams on their heads?
